SIMPLE CAP TOOL

Install
-------
1. To get started download: SimCAPTool.zip and unzip the files in to any directory (e.g. D://SimCAPTool)
2. You should have a Browser already installed: Firefox, Chrome, ...
3. To test the installation, find the file: styled-sample-storm.xml; then open it in your browser.
   If you see a web page with a CAP message, then you are ready start experimenting.

Experiment CAP
--------------
1. Open the file: styled-sample-storm.xml in a text editor (gedit or notepad)
2. Change the text values between the CAP element tags.
3. Save the file, preferably using another file name (e.g. my-sample-hazard.xml), to preserver the sample file.
4. Open it in your browser (e.g. right mouse click, open with, and select the browser app like Firefox)
5. There are two types of CAP messages: Short and Long that will be visible in the web page

START USING IT !!!

Advance Users
-------------
You may edit the capAlert.xsl file to style the web appearance as well as change the file sambro_banner.jpg to your liking.
You should know XML Style Language to make modifications to the capAlert.xsl

SimCAPTool is version of a tool that was developed by Eliot Christian - echristian@usgs.gov (Scientific Advisor to the 
World Meteorological Organization). He has kindly made the tool available to modified and reused. The SimCAPTool 
was developed from Eliots initial XML and XSL files.
